Pre-Defined Keys

Dynacrypt® gives its users the option to select the Keys used for file encryption. To change the Keys do the following:

1.   Select Select Pre-Defined Keys from the Setup menu. A Keys dialog box will appear as shown below.

2.   Select one of the four (4) choices offered in the Keys Dialog Box. The Foreman-L Keys are the

       default.

3.   Select the OK button when finished to accept the change in the Encryption Keys.

The Pre-Defined Keys are specifically designed to dynamically change so that files are encrypted differently each time and per a designated number of bits. Dr. Frederick J. Foreman, a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, developed Dynacrypt® to have the ability to change and adapt. He developed four (4) different type of Pre-Defined Keys that seemed to have the property of dynamically changing and producing cipher text that gives the highest cryptographic strength. Dr. Foreman called these Pre-Defined Keys Foreman-L, Foreman-D, and Foreman-C.

These Pre-Defined Keys are very similar to sub-keys used in modern cryptographic methods. However, the Foreman Keys change constantly and are a function of random number sequences, modulo exponential functions, and Finite Particle functions. The user may find that one of the choices may work better at a particular point in time.
