Dynacrypt® gives its users the ability to select a range of text in the DynaEditor and simply decrypt it. This feature is important when a document contains both sensitive information and non-sensitive information. To perform Selective Text Decryption do the following:
1. Get the text that you want to selectively decrypt into DynaEditor by doing one of the following:
- Import a Plain Text (*.txt) or a Rich Text (*.rtf) file into DynaEditor by clicking the File menu and selecting Input File for Editing or by selecting the Open File for Editing
Icon.
- Select a range of text from your favorite Word Processor and either cut the text or copy the text to the clipboard and paste it into DynaEditor. Make sure that the selected range of encrypted text begins with DynaStart and ends with DynaEnd.

2. In DynaEditor, select the range of encrypted text beginning with DynaStart and ending with DynaEnd that you want to selectively decrypt. Make sure that no other DynaStart and DynaEnd blocks exist in the selected range.
3. Click the right mouse button and select Decrypt Selected Text as shown below. Alternatively, after selecting the text block using the mouse, the Decrypt Text Icon button can be pressed or Decrypt Text can be chosen from the File Menu>
The user has a choice of decrypting the text using plain style or formatted style. It does not matter which option is chosen as Dynacrypt® will determine if the text was encrypted using a plain style or formatted style.
The decrypted text is shown below:
Note that the decrypted text appears exactly the way it was before it was encrypted. It retains its original formatting with no alterations.
